For years the Film Industry has had a prolific reputation of waste. Countless water bottles, scripts, energy consumption and transport goes in to the making of some of our favourite forms of entertainment. Here at Optimum Pixels we’re making it our priority to promote sustainable film and media production. We all know climate change is a real threat to our planet and this is why we are taking steps to ensure we reduce our carbon footprint. We have set out some of our aims…

Aims

• Paperless Call Sheets/ Paperless Production utilising software such as

  • Studio Binder 

  • Setkeeper

  • Rimms

  • Scriptation

• Promote ‘Green on the Screen’ wherever possible that supports the narrative.

• We Carbon Offset 100% of Business Flights taken. 

• Any Scripts needed to be printed will always be A5 DOUBLE SIDED.

• Production & Hire Cars will always aim to be Hybrid or Electric.

• Opt In scheme to bring reusable bottles with Water Dispenser to set rather than providing single use plastic. 

• Work with Companies to store Set’s between Shoots or if Postponed.

• Use less air con/heaters while on set.

• Avoid using generators where possible.

Catering

• Less disposables by using recyclable containers and cutlery.

• Less Meat (Meat free Monday’s) or No Red Meat Productions.
